Our Story

My mission and privilege is to pass on this Old Italian School of singing, which traces back to the 18th century, to the singers of today and tomorrow.

Jim Carson’s training is based on the teachings of E. Herbert Caesari, who had gone to Italy in 1902 in search of a vocal master.

Jim discovered Caesari’s books (largely out of print) and devoured them. Along the way, he learned that Caesari had taught this school of singing to his daughter Alma, who was living in London.

So Jim went to work with her to complete his understanding and knowledge of this great school of singing, and shape it into what is now the foundation of his vocal training.
